“Hi Roger,

 

I am now in possession of my father’s beloved “Sweetpea”, a 2005 Melonseed (hull #359) and sadly need to sell it. At 85, he has aged out of sailing and while I have fond memories of sailing with him in Oregon, I live in Oakland, CA and we don’t have the storage space for it, and I don’t want to sail it on the SF bay as it’s only been on freshwater lakes. The boat is in excellent, like- new condition.  My dad hasn’t sailed it for 4-5 years and maybe only took it sailing a handful of times annually before that. It has always been stored in his garage (15 years) and when he bought it from a collector, it came with a ton of accessories- a mooring cover, custom bags for the rudder, tiller, spars, and ensign.  The teak is in perfect condition, the tanbark sail is gorgeous, and it has a customized trailer too.  I have the title, insurance, trailer, trailer jack, accessories, and sailboat in my garage.  She is super special,  and I hope to find a new owner who will genuinely love and care for the “Sweetpea” like my dad and I have.”
