Here are the “Owner’s comments:

Wassail is located in Norwalk, CT

A beautiful all wooden boat. Made to the Smithsonian/Chappelle offsets.

LOA 13' 8,  Beam 4' 4”, Weight 220 lbs.  Draft 6" to 2'6", Cockpit length 6' 1". Dagger board model.

Hull color: dark green with gold pin stripe and white bottom, white deck.  Dacron white 65’ sail with canvas sail bag. Waterproof full mooring cover. Two Brush Creek Yacht spruce oars. Douglas fir mast and spars (all 10’ 0”) varnished, with leather chafe guards on spars.  Rowing seat with dagger board top plug.

2013 galvanized custom fit trailer with 2" ball hitch,  very low mileage  with bearing buddies and spare tire.

All items in are excellent condition, and the boat is stored in a garage.  All “Wassail’s” equipment, will stow inside the boat.

She won the Best Sail and Captain's Choice awards at the 2013 Wooden Boat Show in Beaufort North Carolina. Boat is always covered and put in a garage. In excellent condition sans a few small dock rash bumps on the rub rail, no scratches on the bottom that I can see.

The hull is strip planked from repurposed and reclaimed Atlantic white cedar from a warehouse in Plymouth, NC. NC mountain grown white oak for the steam bent frames with NC old growth coastal cyprus keel deck beams and oil finished floor boards. The hull is encapsulated with epoxy and glass cloth inside and out. A natural varnish interior with the outside hull a beautiful Awlgrip paint system dark green above the water line, below the waterline a nice white with a gold stripe at the water line. Rudder color and paint scheme to match. The coamings, rub rail, transom and trim are mahogany. The dagger board has gorgeous alternating stick built wood pattern. Many inlaid fine cosmetic details.

The sail halyard and sprit snotter can be hoisted and tensioned from inside the cockpit. This feature is unique. Eliminates the need for brailing or scandalizing the sail. The sail is hoisted up on the mast in a track. The boat can be launched with sail down and then hoisted when underway or the sail can be brought down within seconds when required.

Includes canvas spar covers, sail bag, mast cover, dagger board cover, and a mooring travel cover (the same one that is used on Roger's Melonseeds) and kayak anchor.
