OWNER’S COMMENTS:

My Melonseed is Brush Creek Yacht's hull no. 7, built in 2013 to the specifications of the Smithsonian/Chapelle offsets.  The boat is in great condition and has been garage kept since I bought it new.  The boat is 13' 6" in length with a beam of 2' 3" and is constructed of Atlantic White Cedar planking over white oak steam bent frames, Cypress keel and deck beams.  The hull is encapsulated with epoxy and fiberglass cloth both inside and out, and the interior is finished with a natural varnish.  The hull is painted Teal blue with a white bootstrip using Awlgrip paint system.  Decks are marine plywood covered with painted canvas.  Floorboards are Cypress with an oiled finish.  Coamings, rubrails and transom are mahogany.  The mahogany cockpit coaming was upgraded to contain a beautiful natural wood inlay.  The white Dacron sail is still crisp and in great condition, and an upgraded brass sail track was added by the builder.  The 2013 custom fit loadrite trailer is also in great condition with very low miles.

This boat is a pure joy to sail. Quick and easy to set up at the ramp, she is fast, very stable and has handled everything that the Chesapeake Bay has asked.  Only looking to sell her because I don't have suitable storage at the place I spend summer weekends.
